With Hays County reporting unofficial election results Saturday, Dripping Springs ISD’s bond proposition was approved by district voters by 31 total votes.

The proposition received 1,662 votes, or 50.47 percent, in favor and 1,631 votes, or 49.53 percent, opposed the proposition.

According to district documents, the bond will not increase the tax rate, which is currently $1.52 per $100 home valuation, according to district documents. The bond package aims to increase district capacity and update facilities.

All three trustee incumbents---Carrie Fontana Kroll, Mary Jane Hetrick and Shannon O’Connor---have also maintained their seats on the school board for another three-year term, according to uncanvassed results.

Kroll led with 25.06 percent of votes, followed by Hetrick with 24.24 percent of votes and O’Connor with 23.72 percent of votes. Challenger James Meeks received 13.61 percent of votes, and Sharon Armke received 13.61 percent.
