1. 1980s themed Art and Wine Walk


This month’s Plano Art and Wine Walk will kick off at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 at the Downtown Plano Arts District, 998 E. 15th St. The wine-and-art event will be '80s themed, and will feature live music from a DJ and Kwake, a classic rock cover band. Attendees, who must be 21 or older, are encouraged to come dressed up in their favorite ‘80s attire. Tickets for the wine walk are $12 at downtown Plano's website and $18 at the door. Online sales will close at 3 p.m. Thursday.

2. Family-centered veterans event


The Texas Veteran’s Ranch and Family Resort will host a free event Saturday, Sept. 16, at the ArtCentre of Plano, 902 E. 16th St. The family-focused event will offer raffle prizes and a silent auction, and proceeds will sponsor a family’s stay at the organization's resort in Athens, Texas. Food and refreshments will be provided.

3. Live music events in Plano 


Arrested Development and Tone Loc will perform on Saturday, Sept. 16 at McCall Plaza, 998 E. 15th St. Tickets are available for $15 at this website. The Brixton, 5800 Legacy Drive, Ste. C-11, will host Local Yoakam, a Dwight Yoakam cover band, on Sunday, Sept. 17. The event is free to the public.
