Hurricane Harvey relief efforts continue throughout the weekend at businesses and restaurants across Southwest Austin. Locals can also enjoy other events in the area, such as the Sunset Valley Farmers’ Market or a free day of yoga.

Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts

A number of Austin restaurants and businesses including Treaty Oak Brewing & Distilling and Veracruz All Natural are donating funds to area nonprofits assisting in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The Monterey Oaks Branch of the First State Bank Central Texas will serve as a collection point for donations to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Items in immediate need include toiletries, water, blankets, pillows, baby food, pet food and supplies.

Living Springs, in collaboration with Splash!, The Austin Parks Foundation and the Save Barton Creek Association, will debut its newest documentary titled “Wildlands," a film showcasing Austin’s water quality protection lands. Sustainable Center Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley

The Sustainable Food Center's Sunset Valley Farmers' Market is returning after a brief hiatus last week. This week's offerings will include fresh organic fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Party Fowl Farm will have limited quantities of wildcrafted Mustang Grape Jelly and Beautyberry Jelly, in addition to duck eggs, eggplant, okra and amaranth. Knight Owls, the market's newest vendor, will offer made-from-scratch breads, croissants, jams and nut butters. Free.

Austin yoga teachers and studios will unite for the 19^th year to bring local communities free yoga classes on Labor Day. Participants will have the opportunity to try yoga, meet instructors, and experience different styles of the practice for free at yoga and dance studios, hospitals, parks, churches, and fitness centers across the city.
