1. Pluckers celebrates its 22nd anniversary this week
Beginning Sunday, Pluckers hosts daily specials to celebrate its anniversary. 2. Austin home sales continue to increase
As 2017 reaches its midpoint, builders and brokers throughout Central Texas received an update on the greater Austin housing market July 20. A house priced between $200,000 and $300,000 is staying on the market an average of 59 days, while one priced between $400,000 and $500,000 is on the market about 90 days. Vaike O’Grady, Austin regional director for Metrostudy, discussed challenges buyers experience, including income levels and debt.

3. Enjoy ice cream and get the scoop on Capital Metro's transit plans
The city's transit agency hosts its Traffic Jam! A La Mode event Wednesday from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Huston-Tillotson University King-Seabrook Chapel, 900 Chicon St., Austin. 5. Check your TxTag statement for errors this week
The tolling tag company said in the process of working with EZ TAG and TollTag to function throughout Kansas and other states, the transfer of account information caused customers to receive invoices and violations in error. Many customers have complained of erroneous invoices and violations issued through their tollway accounts.

6. City of Austin employees recently reported they’re dissatisfied with culture
Despite being the only city government to rank in Forbes’ top 10 employers in 2017, an analysis released July 19 by the firm responsible for the city manager search concluded the city of Austin lacks a strong organizational culture, but it is something employees desire. The report also said that employees feel the city has a tough time attracting and retaining top talent, fails to hold employees accountable and could be more open and inclusive.
