Construction is nearly halfway complete on the second phase of US 380 to widen the highway from five to six lanes with grade separations at Preston Road and Dallas North Tollway. This portion stretches from CR 26 to Lovers Lane. The third phase of the US 380 project, which stretches from County Road 26 to Loop 288, is still in the design phase. This portion of the project will also be widened to six lanes with grade separations at FM 423, Legacy Drive and Teel Parkway.
