McKinney ISD launched a new website and homepage on April 21 replacing one that was in place for about eight years.
On the new homepage, users are greeted with rolling videos showcasing students walking in the hall, a student swimming, teachers teaching and more.
"It's been our plan to update it for quite some time, but other projects and priorities have consistently called our attention elsewhere," MISD Communications Coordinator Shane Mauldin said in an email. "Once we had the opportunity to tackle the website project in earnest, the process took roughly a year to a year and a half."
Other new features include easier navigation, mobility and more prominent news items. The new homepage is also responsive to different devices.
"Our overarching goal was to provide parents and the community with a resource and to share the successes of our students and teachers," Mauldin said in the email.
