Austin features a diversity of allegiances to NFL teams throughout the U.S. in addition to the support for the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.
Here are local venues where diehards will be taking in the first round of the draft Thursday from 7 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. when the first 32 selections of the seven-round draft are made.
The draft could be coming to the Lone Star State soon as The Star in Frisco is reportedly among the favorites to host next year's event.
1. Go to the Pluckers NFL Draft Party
The homegrown chicken wings bar chain is hosting its 13th annual watch party during which guests will be chosen to act as the "commissioner" for each of the teams drafting in the first round. If the commissioner chooses the same player the team drafts all guests in the wing bar will be eligible for a special. Pluckers has five locations in the Austin-Round Rock area. www.pluckers.com
2. Attend The Zone NFL Draft Party

3. Join other Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs fans
Feedback Watch Parties will host a watch party on the western edge of downtown. The Chicago Bears pick third overall in the draft. Fans of the team will gather at Steampunk Saloon, 700 W. Sixth St., Austin, on Thursday night as will local Kansas City Chiefs fans.

4. Join other Detroit Lions fans
