There are different creative events happening this weekend in Frisco for the whole family.
Friday
Under the Banner of Peace into the Beautiful Future
Nova Pangea and The Mother of the World International Foundation present “The Mural of Peace,” a collection of children’s paintings from all over the world that illustrate an interpretation of world peace.
After unveiling the collection, Nova Pangea, a musical band dedicated to spreading positive messages, will give two performances. There will be workshops, movie screenings, guided tours and keynote speakers throughout the month on the topic of peace.
The free event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Frisco Discovery Center, 8004 Dallas Parkway, Frisco.
Saturday
Prakriti- The Soulful Nature
Allen Civic Ballet and the
Sampradaya Performing Arts will present an evening of ballet and Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance at Black Box Theatre, 8004 Dallas Parkway, Frisco. The free show begins at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday
Our World Underwater
The largest dive and travel show will be coming to Frisco this weekend. There will be hundreds of informational booths and thousands of divers at the event. The weekend will also be filled with educational workshops and films. $15 for adults, $7.50 for children ages 9-15, and free for children age 8 and younger. On Saturday, the show will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and the film festival will be from 7-9 p.m. On Sunday, the show will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The event will take place at the Embassy Suites & Frisco Conference Center, 7600 John Hammons Drive, Frisco.
