The first multifamily project for the Village of Creekside Park is set to begin construction in the coming weeks and be complete by mid-2018, according to The Woodlands Development Company. The Creekside Park Apartments will feature 292 units and be located within walking distance of the village center on Kuykendahl Road just north of Creekside Forest Drive. Rent will range between $1,100 and $2,100 per month. 2. The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Economic Outlook Conference this Friday starting at 8 a.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. Guests will hear updates from area leaders, politicians and executives, and the morning keynote speaker will be Heidi Cruz, managing director of Goldman Sachs. New York City-based yogurt company Chobani will open a cafe in The Woodlands this February, a company spokesperson confirmed. Although the exact location has not been announced, the new cafe will offer a menu of Mediterranean fare, such as Greek yogurt, salads, soup, sandwiches, fresh juice and coffee, according to the company’s official website. The event takes place between six bars—Baker St. Pub & Grill, The Refuge Bar & Bistro, Yucatan Taco Stand, Bar Louie, Nick’s Fish Dive and Oyster Bar, and The Goose’s Acre. There is no admission to the event, and guests can purchase drinks at each stop before ending at Gooses’s Acre to receive a pint glass. More than 800 people attended last year’s event.
