Another batch of restaurants is opening in November at Domain Northside.

On Monday, Paul Martin’s Austin Grill opened at 3120 Palm Way, Austin, and offers classic American fare using high-quality ingredients that are free of hormones and antibiotics as well as grass-fed beef, free-range chicken.

The menu features entrees such as braised short ribs, brick chicken with mashed potatoes, bistro cheeseburger and cedar plank steelhead with shallots, bacon and mushroom jus. Paul Martin’s has a full bar with more than 80 wines and handcrafted cocktails. The patio offers a view of the Domain Northside lawn and Texas oak trees.

Adjacent to Paul Martin’s, restaurateur Sam Fox, who founded North Italia in The Domain, will open two new restaurants in mid-November.

Flower Child will open Nov. 15 at 11721 Rock Rose Ave., Ste. 120, Austin, and serve a variety of organic, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan items for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The fast-casual restaurant will offer counter service with a full-service feel, Regional Manager Danielle Posten said.

“North does phenomenal here, and [Flower Child] just fits right in,” she said. “We’re all about healthy eating. This is the way people want to go eat out these days.”

On tap will be a variety of beer, wine, cold-brew coffee and kombucha, a fermented tea, by Austin-based Kosmic Kombucha. Posten said the chain’s Mix N’ Match menu allows customers to try between one and three different menu items and add a protein. She said the menu is vegetable-focused, and Flower Child is talking with local purveyors to source ingredients.

Fox Restaurant Concepts, which owns the restaurant, usually pairs several of its concepts together, and Posten said that was the case in Domain Northside. Next door, Culinary Dropout will open Nov. 17 and have a varied menu, offering burgers, fried chicken, ribs, creative cocktails and local beers.

The gastropub will feature live music by local bands and yard games. Culinary Dropout will be located at 11721 Rose Rock Ave., Ste. 100, Austin.

“It’s a little bit more rock n roll,” Posten said.
