Updated Nov. 9 at 9:40 a.m.

Michelle Bischof and incumbent Sue Ann Powell won the Willis ISD board of trustees Position 6 and Position 2 races, respectively.

Bischof won the race for Position 6 with 3,973 votes, or about 45 percent of total votes. Incumbent opponent Beverly Ann Vornsand garnered 2,141 votes, or 24 percent. Opponents Chris Hasket and Jose Belmares Jr. received 1,751 votes and 930 votes, or 20 and 11 percent of the votes, respectively.

Powell won the Position 2 race with 3,462 votes, or about 39 percent of total votes. Opponents James Bishop and Renee House garnered 3,078 votes and 2,457 votes, or 27 and 34 percent of votes respectively.

WISD officials confirmed there is no runoff for the races because the district elects board of trustees candidates as a plurality, meaning the candidate that garners the most votes wins the race.

Republican candidate Philip Cash is the winner of the Montgomery County Precinct 1 constable race over Democratic opponent T. Mack.

Cash garnered 30,598 votes, or about 82 percent, with all precincts reporting. Mack garnered 6,709 votes, or 18 percent.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.
