The Texas Education Agency released statewide 2015-16 school year accountability results Aug. 15, and every school in Eanes ISD, Lake Travis ISD and Leander ISD received the Met Standard rating.
The TEA said 93.7 percent of Texas public school districts earned a rating of Met Standard or Met Alternative Standard this year. Accountability ratings are largely based on how students fared taking the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR test.
The school districts did better than the state average in all STAAR-tested subjects—algebra I, biology, English I, English II and U.S. history—with EISD earning the highest score of the three districts in all subjects.
Overall, the three school districts improved slightly compared with last year in all of the tested subjects except for English I.
EISD biology test scores worsened slightly compared with last year.
The ratings are not official until after the final accountability ratings are released in December.
