Work began in July on several improvements slated to transform the Riverside Drive-Lakeshore Boulevard intersection into a pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly public space. Multimodal transportation issues, such as a lack of sidewalks, ADA-compliant accessibility and bicycle lanes will be addressed, and work will also entail the installation of a rain garden to improve area water quality. The city will provide notice of any temporary lane reductions, narrowed lanes and detours that may occur.
