The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce kicks off the holiday season with its 50th annual parade along Main Street in Old Town Tomball. The parade host is Tom Abrahams, weekend anchor with Houston’s ABC affiliate, KTRK-TV. The event features holiday floats, decorated vehicles and a visit from Santa Claus.

The 30th annual city event begins on Thanksgiving night and features 500,000 lights on 80 trees in the uptown Houston area. The holiday festival features live music, food and a fireworks show to close the lighting ceremony.

Magnolia Hometown Christmas

The annual holiday event features a tree lighting in Unity Park on Dec. 11 and a Christmas parade Dec. 12 followed by the Hometown Christmas market and festival. The festival includes vendors, cookie decorating, games and a visit from Santa Claus. Events are hosted by the city of Magnolia, the Greater Magnolia Chamber of Commerce and the Magnolia Historical Society.

Miss Magnolia Pageant

Miss Magnolia Pageant

Magnolia Community Foundation hosts the annual event to crown the next Miss Magnolia. Sophomores, juniors and seniors in the Magnolia ISD area are eligible to compete in the competition. The student named Miss Magnolia 2016 receives a $2,000 scholarship, and the top five finalists receive tablet computers.
