Austin-based architecture and design firm Noack Little joined ONE Global Design, an international industry-based network.
A new network of architects and interior designers launched in February and includes an award-winning firm based in Austin.
Noack Little Architecture and Interiors, located along Guadalupe Street, is the only Central Texas representative and one of 17 principal-led firms to participate in ONE Global Design, which formed a few years ago but officially launched early this year, said Clayton Little, who co-founded the firm with Chris Noack.
The group's launch was gradual to allow membership, which must be asked to join, enough time to become acquainted and begin working together, Little said.
"We needed that synergy, and you can't create that right away," he said.
The network of independent design firms works with many national brokerage companies that manage large-scale development projects. By collaborating with a partner firm, the more attractive NoackLittle becomes as a potential client when pitching designs, Little said.
"So now we've got a presence in every single major city and state and an expert in every building type," he said. "Someone can even fly in and pitch a project here with me."
Combining all of the ONE Global Design partner firms would create the fourth-largest international architectural and design firm, said Little, who pointed out that Noack Little is the smallest of any participating company.
The entire group convenes every six months at different markets, he said. There is also an exchange program that enables partner firms to trade junior staff to help build their experience in other markets and projects.
"There is no holding back among members," Little said. "Everything is all out in the open. It's a phenomenal feeling to be in a room with all that level of talent."
Noack Little has already combined with other members to work on two Austin-area projects. There is also a project in Houston that Little has collaborated on as well as pitches for projects in Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston, he said.
ONE Global Design is also seeking its first European and Asian partners to combine with its existing partners in the United States, Canada and Mexico. For more information, visit the ONE Global Design website.
