The toy store on the Square hosts 12 weeks of half-day, full-day or weeklong camps focusing on original ideas, education and creativity. Each day of the week has a different theme, and programs change weekly. Summer History Explorers

The Williamson Museum teaches children to become curators, educators and directors of their own exhibits. Each week campers research and design their own museum exhibit to be displayed at the Williamson County Courthouse.

The Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department and Exceptional Georgetown Alliance offers summer camp sessions for Georgetown ISD students. Registration is available at the Georgetown Tennis Center, 400 Serenada Drive; Georgetown Recreation Center, 1003 N. Austin Ave.; and the Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 1101 N. College St. Students must be able to coexist in a small-group setting.

Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends camp aims to help older children with cognitive and developmental disabilities who are seeking an opportunity to retain communication and social skills during the summer.

Lets Make Friends

The camp focuses on building social and communication skills, and facilitating social and emotional development of children with autism spectrum and Aspergers disorders. Participants take part in arts and crafts, swimming, field trips and other activities to build skills for successful relationships.

Arkansas Travel Camp

Activities for the eight-day camp include snorkeling at Cossatot Falls, rock climbing at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch and canoeing on the Kings River in the Ozark Mountains.

Colorado Travel Camp

Campers visit Central Colorado for nine days of dune sledding at Great Sand Dunes National Park, rock climbing at Penitente Canyon and whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River.

Extreme Water Sports Camp

Camp activities include snorkeling, wakeboarding and sailing day trips during the first week and travel to Padre Island for kayaking and windsurfing the second week.

Welcome to Adventure

Day trips take campers to the Challenge Course, rock climbing, caving, kayaking and horseback riding.

Kid City Camp

Georgetown ISD students who qualify for the free or reduced-cost lunch program may take part in a week of half-day summer enrichment programs. Children receive breakfast and lunch during the camp. Activities include games, arts and crafts, field trips and swimming. A Premium Blend School of Performing Arts

APB offers a variety of half-day weeklong summer camps, including beginning and advanced A Taste of Premium Blend sessions, where children can learn the basics of three instruments provided by the school. Other camps include musical theater, youth orchestra, composition, improv and rock n roll programs. Campers can learn to read and write music, play instruments they choose and may participate in separate morning and afternoon sessions.

The Palace Theater Summer Workshops

Children and teens can participate in two-week camps in which they will produce and perform a play. Children ages 79 may take part in Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark, Little Red Riding Hood, Dinomotion, Disneys Winnie the Pooh or Rats! The Story of the Pied Piper. Children ages 1012 may participate in producing Zombeo and Juliet, the Musical, The Castaways, The Hundred Year Snooze, Musical Theatre Revue or MacBeth the Musical Comedy. Teens age 13 and older may take part in High School Musical Jr., Broadway Revue or Godspell. A 10 percent discount is offered for siblings or campers taking part in multiple sessions.
