Two well-known Dallas standbys are opening storefronts in Grapevine: So-Cal Tacos is coming to the corner of Hall Johnson Road and Hwy. 121, and Dr. Sue's Chocolate to Main Street downtown.

Sue Williams, who is an actual doctor at Baylor Health Medical Center Dallas, is known for her high-cacao chocolate made with organic ingredients including superfoods like ginger and blueberries. They are sold now in stores including Central Market, Eatzi's and Whole Foods.

Williams said that will continue, but the new store front will be an outlet for products with a shorter shelf life, like chocolate-dipped orange peels.

"We hope to have a window wall where customers can watch us make chocolate," said Williams, who was excited about the new location at 520 S. Main St. the day after she signed the lease this month. She hopes to open around Dec. 10-15.

So-Cal Tacos serves tacos stuffed with seafood, like honey chipotle grilled salmon, shrimp and battered fish, along with the usual steak, pork and black beans. The storefront at 2140 Hall Johnson Road is scheduled to open in mid-December.
