Cajun restaurant moves north to Georgetown

Gumbo's North, which opened in October, features a bar and lounge area on the second floor with a private party room and patio seating.

The casual, fine-dining restaurant offers a similar menu to Gumbo's of Round Rock, which closed in 2012.

New additions to the menu include several gluten-free and vegetarian options, an expanded lunch menu and a lighter-fare section with smaller portions for diners age 60 and older.

"Business has been phenomenal," owner Shuler Page said. "We have an ideal location because this was the focal point on the Square."

Page said he hopes the restaurant will bring more people to the Square.
