It was a hard-fought race for the three men who ran in today's Republican primary for the Tarrant County Precinct 3 Constable seat, but none were able to breach the 51 percent threshold to claim a victory.

With all precincts reported and nearly 22,000 ballots cast, Jason McCaffity pulled the most support with 42.71 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results. Darrell Huffman came in second with 38.35 percent, and Bob Welch claimed 18.94 percent.

McCaffity and Huffman are now set to face off in a runoff election scheduled for July 31.
