According to unofficial early voting results provided by Hays CISD, voters have chosen Holly Smith Raymond and Robert Limon as the newest members of the board of trustees.

Raymond faced Doug Ragsdale and Eric John for the at-large position on the board. Limon was running against incumbent Bert Bronaugh Jr. for the single-member District 3 seat.

Raymond earned 503 votes, or 52.89 percent of the total; Ragsdale earned 392 votes, or 41.22 percent of the total; and John earned 56 votes, or 5.89 percent of the total.

District officials called the turnout typical. Totals are unofficial until the votes are canvassed. The tentative date set for canvassing is May 17.

Raymond and Limon will be sworn in within the next few months.

Early voting totals

According to the Hays County elections office, in early voting, Raymond received 262 votes, or 54.24 percent of the total; Ragsdale earned received 189 votes, or 39.13 percent of the total; and John received 32 votes, or 6.63 percent of the total.

Limon earned 28 votes, or 60.87 percent of the total in early voting. John earned 18 votes, or 39.13 percent of the total.

The 529 voters who cast their ballots early represent about 1.6 percent of the total resgistered HCISD voters, according to the county.
