Nearly one year after announcing it would create thousands of jobs in Nashville, Amazon is hosting job fairs in six U.S. cities on Sept. 17 to fill 30,000 full-time and part-time positions available nationwide, the company announced Monday, Sept. 9.
In November, Amazon named Nashville as the company’s eastern hub for its retail operations division. The center, which will be located in two towers in the future Nashville Yards development downtown, is expected to create 5,000 tech and management jobs, according to Amazon.
To help fill positions in Nashville and other cities, the company is hosting hiring events in Nashville, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle and Arlington, Virginia, the site of the company’s second U.S. headquarters.
Amazon’s Career Day event is set for 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Cannery Ballroom, 1 Cannery Row, Nashville. Company recruiters will be on-site to talk to candidates about open corporate positions as well as customer fulfillment, delivery and retail jobs, according to the news release.
Additionally, Amazon is hiring for seasonal positions to meet the increased demand for the holiday season, according to the release. Job seekers who are interested in these positions can visit www.amazondelivers.jobs.
