Metro Nashville Public Schools will host a virtual town hall on March 30 to discuss the district's decision to close schools until at least April 24 in accordance with a recommendation from Gov. Bill Lee. The one-hour event begins at 3 p.m.

According to the release, Director of Schools Adrienne Battle and other district leaders will answer questions about what the extended school closure means for classes, grades, tests, high school graduation and more.

“No one has ever been through anything like this before, so we understand the need to ask and answer questions about the impact this crisis is having on everyone,” Battle said in the release. “Our team hasn’t stopped working since schools closed, and we look forward to answering as many questions as we can Monday afternoon.”

For those who are interested in submitting questions for consideration, the deadline is 5 p.m. on March 27 using this online form. The event will be available for viewers to livestream on www.nashville.gov.
