On March 20, Metro Nashville Mayor John Cooper called for Nashville restaurants to halt dine-in services to prevent the further spread of coronavirus in the region. Businesses can offer takeout orders, drive-thru service, curbside pickup and delivery services, but diners must leave with their food.

“Undoubtedly the hardest decision I have ever had to make but there is only one answer when you choose between livelihood or health, and the only way to ensure the stop of this hideous virus,” Otaku Ramen owner Sarah Gavigan said in a social media post. “I started this journey to make ramen for the people I love, and Otaku Ramen has become my life’s passion. We will continue to do so for you Nashville, for as long as we are able. Stay safe and healthy and we will be here to feed you with love."
