Davidson County coronavirus cases rise by over 220 in 24 hours

Cases of coronavirus in Davidson County have risen to 17,180 as of July 24, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health.


This marks an increase of 224 new cases reported in the county since the department’s last update July 23.

There are now 5,333 active cases of coronavirus in the county, a decrease of 25 since yesterday.


Statewide, there are 89,078 total cases, 938 cumulative deaths and an estimated 52,983 recoveries to date. Thirteen people have died of the virus in Tennessee since yesterday’s update.

Overall, more than 1.32 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted, according to the TDH update, including more than 26,500 reported in the last 24 hours.
