Coronavirus cases in Davidson County have risen to 16,545 as of July 21, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health.

This marks an increase of 322 new cases reported in the county since the department’s last update July 20.


There are now 5,706 active coronavirus cases in the county, a decrease of 77 in the last 24 hours. Six people have died of the coronavirus in Davidson County since the July 20 update.

Statewide, there have been 81,944 total cases, an increase of 2,190 in the last 24 hours. There have been 871 cumulative deaths and an estimated 47,852 recoveries to date. Twenty-four people have died of the virus in Tennessee since the July 20 update.

Overall, more than 1.23 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted, according to the TDH update, including more than 23,000 reported in the last 24 hours.
