In response to potentially dangerous temperatures this summer, the Metro Public Health Department will adjust its start time for testing at assessment centers from 9 a.m. to 7 a.m. Sites will also close two hours earlier at 1 p.m.
Those who are in line at assessment sites by 1 p.m. will receive a free test that day, according to Dr. Alex Jahangir, chair of the Metro Nashville Board of Health and Metro Coronavirus Task Force.
“This will be better for those waiting to get tested and for those who are working and volunteering at our sites,” Jahangir said.
All three centers will be open 7 a.m.-1 p.m. daily at the following locations:
Nissan Stadium, Lot N
1 Titans Way, Nashville
Meharry Medical College
918 21st Ave. N., Nashville
2491 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville
To receive a test at an assessment center, call the city's COVID-19 hotline at 615-862-7777 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
