Coronavirus cases in Tennessee up by more than 600 in 24 hours; total deaths surpass 500

Cases of the coronavirus in Tennessee have risen to 32,829 as of June 18, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health.

This marks an increase of 686 new cases reported since the department's last update June 17.

The daily totals also include 509 cumulative deaths, 2,209 cumulative hospitalizations and an estimated 21,949 recoveries to date.

In Davidson County, there have been at least 7,253 reported cases. Williamson County has reported 742 cases.

Overall, more than 652,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted, according to the TDH update, including more than 7,800 reported in the last 24 hours.
