Coronavirus cases in Tennessee rise by 429 in past 24 hours

Coronavirus cases across Tennessee have risen to 18,961 as of May 21, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health—an increase of 426 new cases since May 20.

The total includes 313 deaths, 1,539 cumulative hospitalizations and 12,191 recoveries.

In Davidson County, there have been at least 4,292 reported cases. Williamson County has 491 cases.


Overall, more than 360,000 tests have been conducted, according to the update. Residents can find testing sites and assessment centers here.
