Tennessee reports 13,938 confirmed coronavirus cases, 239 deaths

The Tennessee Department of Health announced May 6 the number of cases of coronavirus statewide has risen to 13,938, an increase of 314 new cases reported since the previous day.


That total includes 239 deaths, 1,221 cumulative hospitalizations and 6,564 recovered cases. More than 227,101 tests have been conducted statewide, according to the TDH. Of those tests, just over 93% were found to be negative.
