Traffic

With last week's string of projects along I-40 now behind us, expect traffic to flow more smoothly this weekend and going into next week. And while there may be fewer interstate projects to worry about, drivers who live or commute west of Hillsboro Pike in Green Hills will want to know about the following community meeting:

Join District 34 Councilwoman Angie Henderson at Julia Green Elementary School in Green Hills for a neighborhood traffic calming meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13. The meeting will cover roads between Abbott Martin Road and Harding Place and Lynnwood Boulevard and Hillsboro Pike, as well as special emphasis on the Hobbs Road corridor and safe access to and from Julia Green and the shopping district.

During the meeting, Metro Public Works will discuss car count and speed data in the area and provide neighbors with street-by-street proposals about speed limit reductions, crosswalks, signage, sidewalks and intersection improvements.

See the map below to find closures that might affect your daily commute.
