Metro Police officers will host a free driver awareness class this month for teen drivers. Since 2011, the department has provided the program toÂ show teens the impacts of impaired and distracted driving.
The class will be offered on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Metro Police South Precinct, located at 5101 Harding Place in Nashville. The four-hour program begins at 9 a.m. in the precinct's community room.
In order to attend the class, teens must register at thisÂ linkÂ by Monday, Nov. 12.Â There are currently 50 slots available.
What to know
The class is open to all high school-aged teens regardless of county of residency, and a driverâ€™s license or permit is not required for the class.
