GO TO A MEET-AND-GREET: What’s Gaby Cooking Book Signing

When: Monday, June 18, 6-8 p.m.

Where: Williams-Sonoma, 2126 Abbott Martin Road, Nashville

Los Angeles-based food blogger Gaby Dalkin will be onsite at Williams-Sonoma to sign copies of her second cookbook, What's Gaby Cooking: Everyday California Food. Dalkin’s cooking blog incorporates fresh and easy-to-make California-inspired recipes.

GO TO SOMETHING FREE: Songwriters series at Starbucks in Green Hills

When: Monday, June 18, 7 p.m.

Where: Starbucks, 3706 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville

Stop by Starbucks for Songwriters Singing for Coffee, a concert series featuring Jamie O Neal, Aliyah Good, Jimmy Nichols and Greg Friia. According to Friia, the series' founder, Songwriters Singing For Coffee began as a way to connect the love of coffee and songs.

GO GET ACTIVE: Free training class at Neighborhood Barre

When: Wednesday, June 20, 12-1 p.m.

Where: 2210 Crestmoor Road, Nashville

Neighborhood Barre Nashville is offering a free class as part of its instructor training program. If it's your first class, Neighborhood Barre asks that you arrive 15 minutes early for class orientation. Find a spot of the registration here.

GO TO MEETINGS: City Council

When: Tuesday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m.

Where: David Scobey Council Chambers, Metro Courthouse, 1 Public Square, Nashville

At Tuesday's meeting, the council will discuss an ordinance that examines dockless bicycle and scooter regulations. The proposed regulations are in light of the the arrival—and subsequent controversy—of Bird electric scooters earlier this spring. Read more about that here.

City of Belle Meade Board of Commissioners

When: Wednesday, June 20, 4 p.m.

Where: City Hall, 4705 Harding Road 

The City of Belle Meade will host its monthly commissioners meeting Wednesday. Topics to be discussed include the early voting schedule, a request to purchase a door access system for City Hall and more. See the full agenda here.

GO TO SOMETHING NEW: Summer Stable Party at Cheekwood

When: Friday, June 22, 7-10 p.m.

Where: Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, 1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville

Cheekwood will kick off summer with its inaugural Summer Stable Party, an event to celebrate the grand opening of the garden’s newly-restored horse stables and courtyard. The night’s activities including live music, cocktails and food from the The Mockingbird.
