GO TO A COMMUNITY MEETING: The Alliance for Green Hills

When: Wednesday, June 13, 8 a.m.

Where: The Hampton Inn Green Hills, 2324 Crestmoor Rd, Nashville

Learn about "green" topics like tree cover and greenways at the June Alliance for Green Hills meeting.

The Nashville Tree Foundation's Carolyn Sorenson will discuss issues relevant to homeowners relating to maintaining and creating tree cover in Green Hills. There will also be updates on Monroe Harding's redevelopment plans and Hillsboro High School construction.

GO SOMEWHERE NEW: The Adventure Park at Nashville

When: Summer hours (June 9 - Sept 4): Monday-Friday: 10 a.m.-10 p.m, Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-10 p.m.

Where: 801 Percy Warner Blvd on the grounds of Gordon Jewish Community Center

Have you ever wanted to ride a zipline through the trees in West Meade? A new experience called The Adventure Park at Nashville features a combination of tree-to-tree bridges and platforms and ziplines.

GO TO A GRAND OPENING: Restoration Hardware, The Gallery at Green Hills

When: Friday, June 15, 11 a.m.

Where: 2101 Green Hills Village Dr.

The new four-story Restoration Hardware in Green Hills will open Friday, June 15, with a grand opening ceremony slated to begin at 11 a.m.

The 72,000-square-foot building—officially known as RH Nashville, The Gallery at Green Hills—features a courtyard cafe, wine vault and coffee bar, as well as a rooftop garden showcasing its outdoor collection.

GO TO SOMETHING FREE: Movies in the Park

When: Thursday, June 14, at 5 p.m.

Where: Elmington Park, 3531 West End Ave., Nashville

Nashville Scene’s annual Movies in the Park returns Thursday for its third installment, Reese Witherspoon's Legally Blonde. Stop by Elmington Park for a night of cinema, food trucks and lawn games. The movie is scheduled to begin around sundown.


GO TO MEETINGS: Hillsboro High School construction update

When: Thursday, June 14, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Library at Hillsboro High School, 3812 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville

Councilman Russ Pulley will host a meeting to update the community on developments at Hillsboro High School. According to the councilman, the project—which is in the first of three phases—is moving along as scheduled.

The first phase includes construction of a new 110,000-square-foot concrete building that includes a new kitchen and cafeteria, gymnasium, library and classrooms. The project is expected to be complete by 2020.

City of Belle Meade budget workshop

When: Wednesday, June 13, 4 p.m.

Where: City Hall, 4705 Harding Road 

City of Belle Meade will host a budget workshop this week for its 2018-19 operating budget.
