The Williamson Medical Group’s gastroenterology practice opened a new location in a renovated suite inside the Williamson Medical Center’s main medical tower Dec. 13, according to the practice.

The new location in the WMC tower at 4323 Carothers Parkway includes an expanded waiting space to allow for social distancing, a sub-waiting area for scheduling procedures and a revamped workflow to improve efficiency.

“Regular [gastrointestinal] screening and care is a crucial part of maintaining our patients’ overall health,” WMC Gastroenterologist Elizabeth Lindsey said. “We are committed to providing compassionate care in a relaxed setting, and this relocation enhances our ability to do so as comfortably and efficiently as possible.”

The practice offers procedures and screenings that include, colonoscopies, esophageal dilation, manometry, Bravo pH testing, upper endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound.

In addition to Lindsey and Dr. Eric Sumner being board-certified gastroenterologists in the practice, the group has also added GI professional Claire Davis, a specialist in evaluating and treating chronic bowel pain, bowel disorders and other conditions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Claire to WMG,” Sumner said. “Her unique skill set and passion for working with patients to identify problems and solutions is a perfect fit for the clinic, and adding her to the team enables us to offer patients greater access to appointment availability and scheduling.”

Tim Burton, associate administrator for operations of WMG said the expansion will help accommodate the needs as the population of Williamson County grows.

The Williamson Gastronenterology Group is located at 4323 Carothers Parkway, Franklin, Ste. 600. Appointments can be made online by visiting or by calling 615-435-7979.
