The Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation will host its second annual golf tournament May 16 at the Stones River Country Club.

The proceeds of this event will benefit the Dr. Jim Boerner Nursery-Pediatric Fund that serves the labor and delivery department; the Well Baby Nursery; the Lee and Susan Moss Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; and the pediatric unit at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, according to a press release.

“Over the years, this fund has been used to purchase equipment—such as infant warmers and cardiac neonatal intensive care cardiac monitors for the nursery—provide car seats for families in need, and provide nurses and staff with financial assistance for continuing education.” said Virigina DeJean, Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation director, in a press release.

Breakfast will be provided at the event, and each participant will receive a goody bag and a $25 gift certificate to the pro shop. The Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation will also provide lunch and complimentary alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Golfers will tee off at 9:30 a.m.
