The city of Brentwood will host a virtual meeting April 8 for residents to learn more about the city's newest fire station.

Fire Station No. 5 will be built on Split Log Road near Ragsdale Road and is expected to improve response times in the southeast quadrant of the city, officials said in an announcement.

The meeting will be livestreamed on the city's Facebook and YouTube pages beginning at 7 p.m.

The city purchased the land in 2018 and is expected to begin construction later this year. A contract for design and construction services was approved earlier this year.

Construction is slated to begin this fall, and the project is expected to be complete by fall 2022, according to the city.

Residents can learn more about the station and find a presentation for the meeting here.
