The service, which was paused in March due to the coronavirus, offers single-stream recycling that is processed by Marshall County. The city reached a six-month contract agreement with the county, which is not expected to have an added cost for residents.
“We thank the residents of Franklin for their patience during the pandemic when we could not collect recyclables,” City Administrator Eric Stuckey said in a statement. “We are looking forward to restarting this new, important program for our community.”
Residents who have been using their Blue Bins as extra trash cans are advised to clean them out before service resumes. Recycling service will resume on scheduled trash days, according to the city.
