Williamson County Schools, Franklin Special School District to close Feb. 7 due to illness

Campuses in Williamson County Schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 7 due to illness, according to an announcement from the district.

The district's School Aged Child Care programs will operate at snow-day sites.

Twelve-month employees in the district will follow snow day protocols, according to WCS.

Franklin Special School District will also close Feb. 7, according the district.

"Due to an increasing number of student and staff absences due to illness, the Franklin Special School District will be closed tomorrow, Friday, February 7," District officials said in a social media post. "The MAC program will be open from 7AM to 5PM at the district site, 1406 Cannon Street, and MAC students will need to bring a lunch. District staff will not report."


Williamson County joins other Tennessee counties such as Cheatham, Wilson and Robertson counties that have closed in recent weeks due to illness.
