The app will feature a staff directory, lunch menus, the school calendar and access to grades for parents, according to the district. There is also a tip line where students can report anything from bullying to threats against schools.
WCS spokesperson Carol Birdson said over 90% of respondents to a survey by the district's communications department indicated they would consider downloading an app if the district offered one.
“We’re excited to provide our families with a mobile app that gives them quick access to the information they need most,” she said.
To download the app, search "Williamson County Schools TN" in the App Store or Google Play store.
