Recent development updates: Three building projects underway in Franklin and Brentwood

SOUTHBROOKE

Construction began on SouthBrooke, a new community south of Berry Farms on Lewisburg Pike, in February, according to Chesney Ford, sales manager for Franklin-based Ford Classic Homes, which is developing the project. The development will include a total of 76 single-family homes and 47 townhomes. The first homes in the development are expected to be for sale in the summer.

BRENTWOOD YMCA

Work on a renovation and expansion of the Brentwood YMCA at 8207 Concord Road is continuing with construction expected to be completed in early 2023. Officials expect to reopen finished facilities in phases, including an indoor track, locker rooms and a co-ed sauna later in 2022. Other new features are an enhanced teen center and more multipurpose space.

BRENTWOOD FIRE STATION NO. 5


Brentwood Fire Station No. 5 at 9551 Split Log Road in the southeast part of the city is slated for a September completion and to be in full operation by October, Brentwood Fire Chief Brian Goss said. The total cost is $9 million, according to the city, and it will feature two bays and one front-line fire engine. Brentwood-based TMPartners designed the facility, and American Constructors Inc. is the contractor.
