Construction began on SouthBrooke, a new community south of Berry Farms on Lewisburg Pike, in February, according to Chesney Ford, sales manager for Franklin-based Ford Classic Homes, which is developing the project. The development will include a total of 76 single-family homes and 47 townhomes. The first homes in the development are expected to be for sale in the summer.
Work on a renovation and expansion of the Brentwood YMCA at 8207 Concord Road is continuing with construction expected to be completed in early 2023. Officials expect to reopen finished facilities in phases, including an indoor track, locker rooms and a co-ed sauna later in 2022. Other new features are an enhanced teen center and more multipurpose space.
