Developers SouthStar LLC and Chartwell Hospitality LLC will meet virtually Dec. 7 with interested residents to present a $700 million mixed-use project they would build in Cool Springs at the junction of McEwen Drive and Carothers Parkway.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. and accessible via a Zoom link provided below.

The potential project, named Aureum, is being brought forward by Brentwood-based SouthStar LLC and Chartwell Hospitality LLC. It would include 1.7 million square feet of space, including 750,000 square feet of office space, 480 multifamily residential units, 700 hotel rooms, and 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, according to the developer.

In April 2019, the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission unanimously approved shifting 22 acres for the project from general commercial to create a special planned unit district for the project, allowing for mixed-use development including residential units.
