Williamson County active COVID-19 cases drop more than 20% in past week

The number of active cases of coronavirus in Williamson County has dropped by 23% in the past week, dropping to 1,763 cases as of Jan. 20, according to the Tennessee Department of Health.

That total marks a 500-plus decline from Jan. 14, when 2,313 active cases were reported. It is also the lowest total seen since before the winter holidays on Dec. 19. Since that time, active cases have been consistently higher than 2,000, according to TDH data.

Additionally, as of Jan. 18, the county has vaccinated more than 14,300 residents, with 236 recipients having been fully vaccinated, according to the TDH.
