As of Sept. 30, there were 376 active cases in the county, up from 346 reported Sept. 23.
However, this number is still down from the beginning of the month. The highest number of active cases for the month was 1,058, reported Sept. 1. This was prior to the TDH announcement that the department would update its reporting practices to reduce the infectious period for active cases.

The recent uptick in active cases has also been seen in Williamson County Schools.
On Sept. 29, the district reported more than 1,500 students were quarantining after coming in contact with a confirmed case.
A total of 37 out of 49 schools have reported a coronavirus case.
The district began reporting coronavirus cases in early September.
