The total number of coronavirus cases in Williamson County has risen to 4,055 as of Aug. 21, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health. This marks an increase of 76 new cases reported in the county since the department’s last update Aug. 20.

This total includes 1,167 active cases, or people who are currently infected with the coronavirus.

The number of active cases has not been that low since July 12, according to TDH data.

Statewide cases now total 140,844, an increase of 1,669 since Aug. 20.

Since the pandemic reached Tennessee in March, more than 1,500 deaths have been reported, and over 6,200 individuals have been hospitalized.


In the state, over 102,000 estimated recoveries have been reported, and more than 1.97 million tests have been administered.
