The total number of coronavirus cases in Williamson County has risen to 3,979 as of Aug. 20, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health. This marks an increase of 35 new cases reported in the county since the department’s last update Aug. 19.

This total includes 1,192 active cases, or people who are currently infected with the coronavirus.

Statewide cases now total 139,175, an increase of 1,375 since Aug. 19.

Since the pandemic reached Tennessee in March, more than 1,480 deaths have been reported, and over 6,100 individuals have been hospitalized.

In the state, over 100,000 estimated recoveries have been reported, and more than 1.94 million tests have been administered.
