The total number of coronavirus cases in Williamson County has risen to 3,979 as of Aug. 19, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health. This marks an increase of 47 new cases reported in the county since the department’s last update Aug. 18.

This total includes 1,204 active cases, or people who are currently infected with the coronavirus.

Statewide cases now total 137,800, an increase of 2,022 since Aug. 17.

Since the pandemic reached Tennessee in March, more than 1,450 deaths have been reported, and over 6,000 individuals have been hospitalized.

In the state, over 99,000 estimated recoveries have been reported, and more than 1.92 million tests have been administered.
