The total number of coronavirus cases in Williamson County has risen to 3,932 as of Aug. 18, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health. This marks an increase of 39 new cases reported in the county since the department’s last update Aug. 17.

This total includes 1,214 active cases, or people who are currently infected with the coronavirus.

Statewide cases now total 135,778, an increase of 1,034 since Aug. 16.

Since the pandemic reached Tennessee in March, more than 1,400 deaths have been reported, and over 5,900 individuals have been hospitalized.

In the state, over 96,800 estimated recoveries have been reported, and more than 1.89 million tests have been administered.
