The total number of coronavirus cases in Williamson County has risen to 3,893 as of Aug. 17, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Department of Health. This marks an increase of 32 new cases reported in the county since the department’s last update Aug. 16.

This total includes 1,244 active cases, or people who are currently infected with the coronavirus.

Statewide cases now total 134,744, an increase of 1,036 since Aug. 16.

Since the pandemic reached Tennessee in March, more than 1,300 deaths have been reported, and over 5,800 individuals have been hospitalized.

In the state, over 94,800 estimated recoveries have been reported, and more than 1.86 million tests have been administered.
