Golden attended the WCS Board of Education work session Aug. 13 remotely, citing he was quarantining.
The district released a statement on social media in response to questions form the community about the quarantine.
"Superintendent Golden told the board at last night's work session that he was quarantining and working from home due to contact with a family member with COVID-19. His test results have come back positive. He will continue to work remotely the next few days while following health department protocols," the statement read.
The district is expected to make an announcement in the evening on Aug. 14 on whether WCS will change protocol and allow students to return to campuses.
