The May 13 installment of the conversation series FrankTalks will focus on the importance of inclusive play, according to a press release from Franklin Tomorrow.
The featured speakers will be city of Franklin Parks Director Lisa Clayton and two employees of Landscape Structures, a playground design firm. Jill Moore and John McConkey, the employees of the firm, will inform attendees on the importance of designing playgrounds that are inclusive to children with disabilities or special needs of all kinds.
Clayton will also update attendees on Franklin’s proposed Southeast Park, where inclusive play concepts are being incorporated into the design, according to the release.
The event is Monday, May 13 at High Hopes Development Center at 301 High Hopes Court, Franklin. It begins at 9 a.m. for coffee and networking. The conversation begins at 9:30. To register for the event, go to www.franklintomorrow.org.
